Highlights for High School

The basic mission of Highlights for High School is to feature exciting materials in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). We, of course, do feature hundreds of STEM resources, but we also have a great deal of materials in the humanities and social sciences.

We recently published two courses as part of the Educational Studies Program. Check them out!

Developing new technologies to make current global energy systems more efficient requires skills in a number of disciplines.

Energy courses based in engineering, technology, natural and social sciences are a good start to tackle this issue:

Chemistry and Chemical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Civil and Environmental Engineering

Economics and Sloan School of Management

Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

Engineering Systems Division

MIT OpenCourseWare supporter."I am very pro-education. I think it will help to advance all members of this country and the world. I wish everyone could get access to first class education no matter where they are. I think MIT is doing an extremely kind and wonderful thing by making these classes and the associated materials available free of charge. I am sure that somewhere in the world many people are using these resources to help each other to advance themselves and make a positive impact on their communities. I cannot thank you enough for doing this."
