Brockton issued a request for proposals for a
turnkey system design, installation, operations and maintenance. One
proposal was submitted by a project team led by Global Solar. Another
proposal by a different team was rejected due to noncompliance with terms
of the RFP. The City of Brockton
is evaluating the proposal from the team that includes:
Global Solar
Energy as the prime contractor, RWE Schott Solar as the PV panel
manufacturer, Landerholm Electric performing installation and O&M
services, Fat Spaniel Techologies for data acquisition and reporting,
SatCon Technology for power conditioning, J. Derenzo & Company for site
preparation, and Coler and Colantonio for site engineering/environmental
work.
The team made a
presentation to the City of Brockton
on November 16, 2005.
The proposal
included development of a solar learning plaza that would include a
non-functioning solar panel that children can safely touch during
educational activities.
