SUBJECT: Two Wires in Parallel

DESCRIPTION: The animation shows the magnetic field configuration around two wires carrying current in the same direction (ie. wired in parallel). The Maxwell stresses associated with the magnetic fields cause the wires to feel a mutual attraction, and pull towards each other as a result.
