Assignment 1 (Week 6)

Submit an annotated bibliography consisting of a short (approximately one paragraph) summary of the important points in each reading, for all readings covered in the first half of the semester.

Assignment 2 (Week 8)

Submit a proposed design for the research experiment, including main questions to be addressed, stimuli to be used, conditions to be run, and number of participants expected to be involved.

Assignment 3 (Weeks 9-11)

Run research experiment, with participants drawn from the MIT subject pool.

Assignment 4 (Week 12)

Submit outline for final research report.

Assignment 5 (Week 13)

Submit annotated bibliography for all readings covered in the second half of the semester.

Assignment 6 (Week 14)

Submit final research report (15-30 pages), of publishable quality.
