Assignments

Workshop assignments focus on expressive new media forms and explore issues of remediation, digital representation and interaction. Workshop exercises build to a culminating final project. Assignments include (but are not limited to):

  • Visual narrative using digital still images (Web gallery).
  • Soundscapes as a storytelling medium.
  • Digital video.
  • Flash animation.
  • Machinima.
  • Games.
  • Class blog.
  • Location - based narratives using various handheld devices (PDAs, cellphones).
  • Final project.
