Projects

Students will be assigned to teams to examine a specific health care problem, apply concepts from class discussions and readings and present a group presentation and paper. There were three teams this semester:

• Decision Support Team: Engineering the system of healthcare delivery
• Stroke Team: Improving ischemic stroke care in the US and UK
• Predictive Modeling Team: Predictive modeling at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; A short-term length of stay model of the cardiac ward
