Isolated form the
city and nestled on the small triangular site between the river and
the bridges,
the sojourner’s enclave
speaks about new attitudes and desires of the
modern habitant; the need for shelter, security, and association with
a place or a group. The sojourner housing is a complex of interlocking
spaces, surging and folding concrete planes, spectacular views, and
quiet contemplative corners. It protects the transient dweller in the
crudest way, providing only the bare minimum of a shelter, yet it speaks
loudly to the urban landscape which surrounds it, reaching up to the
sky and announcing its presence. Thus, giving the sojourner a safe,
but also a unique and characteristic place to call home.
