As part of 14.05 you are required to write a research paper, about 5,000 words long (i.e., about 20 pages, double-spaced). The word count does not include the bibliography. There are two alternative pathways that you may elect to follow for the paper: the “default option” and the “alternative option.” Each of these is now described in turn.
