Requirements
Students will write three 1500–1800 word papers. Each paper represents 25% of the subject grade.
Paper One (due Session 4)
Write a paper about a memory you have of an ocean experience and employ class readings to reflect upon it.
Paper Two (due Session 8)
Write a paper about a movie we have not watched in class about some aspect of oceanic life that interests you and examine it using whichever class texts seem most germane.
Paper Three (due Session 12)
Write a paper about an ocean organism and, using readings from the class, explore its human meanings and consider how it may be affected by climate change.
