Lecture 09: Reflections on the Szemeredi-Trotter Theorem

We discuss the analogy between the Szemeredi-Trotter theorem and the exceptional set problem. We explain why it is hard to adapt the proof of Szemeredi-Trotter to the exceptional set problem.
