Principles of Discrete Applied Mathematics

Lecture 12: Introduction to Linear Programming

We define linear programs. We give two examples: the diet problem and a bake sale problem. We then give two different forms you can put a linear program in: the standard form and the canonical form. Finally, we discuss duals of linear programs.
