Lecture 11: Theory of Externalities and How Nuclear Power Is Regulated by the NRC

This lecture describes the economic principles of externalities and how they affect the electric markets. It presents the argument for regulation as a means of mitigating externalities, and how the NRC attempts to regulate the safety of nuclear power, including issues such as regulatory capture.
