Lecture 14: Is Nuclear Power Safe? Calculating the Number of Deaths Caused by Nuclear Accidents (old)
The lecture looks at estimates of cancer deaths from major nuclear reactor accidents, including Fukushima and Chernobyl, and also estimates of the expected number of fatalities from a typical accident. The result is compared to other energy sources to compute a final deaths/TWh result.
