Students prepare a final project on current research in the area of mantle convection. For this project, each student must:
- Recall an unresolved issue in mantle convection that warrants further research.
- Write a detailed proposal to investigate this issue, outlining a specific research plan with experiment(s).
- Present this proposal to the class on the last meeting of the term.
